Where are we Wednesday? Place’s to see in Manitoba

Team Olyniuk where are we Wednesday? Today we are out in Hecla Island Manitoba at the Lakeview Resort. Hecla Island is only one hour and forty five minutes north of Winnipeg Manitoba. We stayed at the Lakeview Resort and the staff was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend it. With it being early spring there was still lots of snow and winter activities available. The resort has cross country skis and snowshoes available to rent. Lots of trails available to explore wether it’s hiking, snowshoeing, groomed cross country ski or snow mobile trails. We took advantage of Cross country skiing, snow shoeing and hiking trails. We also brought our fat tire bikes along to explore the island. While at the resort you can book a massage or spend the day at the spa. We spend a lot of time in the heated mineral pool... it was fantastic. Followed by renting a fire pit and enjoyed an evening fire. They started the fire and had everything ready for us to enjoy. Resort Restaurant staff and food was great. We also headed down the road to Gull Harbour, it was about a 10 minute walk and had an amazing restaurant as well. Their 3 season sunroom was off the restaurant was open for the first time this spring. The sun felt so good, food and service was wonderful. We recommend the Miles High Clubhouse Sandwich. So much to do I plan to come back next winter with my Skidoo and explore snowmobile trail. I didn’t have a chance to go ice fishing and plan to do that as well. Alicia and I are planning a summer camping trip at the Gull Harbour campground. Spring, summer, fall or winter there is so much to do or see. We will return to Hecla Island.
